Lemon Lucys

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Sift flour and sugar into a bowl. Blend in butter with a fork or pastry blender. Pat evenly into the bottom of an 8 x 8 pan. Bake for 20 minutes in a 350° oven. Let cool before proceeding to the next step (this is important)

Meanwhile...

Combine together the following:

2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 T. Fresh lemon juice
Dash of salt

Pour over baked crust and return to oven for 20-25 minutes. Cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.

    I haven't seen this recipe for years and no one else calls them lemon lucy's but our family...I think...I've always heard them called Lemon bars but maybe that is because nothing comes close to these Lemon Lucy's. They are a childhood favorite of mine! Thanks for posting.
